Channel Studio M'PRESS is Growing

Studio M'PRESS is refining its focus and mission.  'Video is an important tool today' is the same statement we were making in 2004 when we started on this journey.  It is even more relevent today with stats to prove that: E-commerce sites that use product videos sell up to 45% more -- A minute of video is worth 1.8 million words according to Dr. James McQuivey of Forrester Research. (Forrester, January 2009) and there are more stats from sites that focus on video stats.

Our attention and energies at Channel Studio M'PRESS are focused on Small Businesses and the Arts.  The possibilites that exist for collaboration between these two industries is limitless.

Plans - All will be revealed soon.

Channel Studio M'PRESS
is undergoing some much needed restructuring.  We're in the process of expanding  the reach of Studio M'PRESS, adjusting our programming and wrapping up old business.  We'll be focusing more on arts in education: getting artists into the schools and classrooms. Our mission still includes promoting the arts and giving artists as much visibility as we can while presenting them to the larger, more diversified audience that includes: groups of arts enthusiasts, fine art collectors, gallery owners & curators, interior designers and decorators, event planners and others who can make a difference in an artist's career.

Business as Usual

We're all very aware of the current political climate and the deficiencies that are being caused by budget cuts and political posturing.  We also know that the arts are always the first item to hit the floor when cuts have to be made.  I happen to believe that children need art, that it should be part of the core curriculum in more than just spirit and words.  But if you think about it, some school systems have cut PE from the curriculum.  That being said, what chance do the arts have of surviving?

Old Business

Earlier I mentioned that we were also in the process of wrapping up old business.  Over the past few years I've had the fortune to meet more artists than I, unfortunately, had time to interview.  Since most of the artists were from out-of-state, it was always a case of 'next festival' or we'd 'get together'. To make a long story short. There are approximately five artists with whom I would like to finalize 'old business'.  If you're reading this and know that you're one of the artists I spoke to about an interview that never happened, you have until the end of 'Season' 2012, in South Florida, to contact me.  April 2012, it's all over.   I want to honor our agreement, tentative as it may have been, but I also must move on. Contact me, Thanks.

Programming

Plans are on the 'drawing board' as well as being implemented gradually as all the pieces fall into place.  Currently I'm recruiting/interviewing artists and small business owners for the Advisory Board Studio M'PRESS will be consulting with about events, projects and programs planned for a future dates.

There are several programs that are available for sign up now.  You can add your name to the list if you'd like to be kept up to date as progress is made.

Future programs that are currently being formalized include:

  • Advisory Board (composed of Artists & Small Business Owners)
  • Artists' List
  • A.R.T.4Schools (Artists conducting workshops/classes for teachers & students - compensation)
  • Today's Master Artists
  • Creativity International
  • Expanded site

If you're interested in participating in or being considered for inclusion in any of these programs, please make your choice and interest known by registering via the contact form.

Best Regards and Keep the Creative Juices Flowing,
